Library and informational supply of training and research activities at IHEI is carried out by the library established in 1995.

There has been established a proper library source that provides for informational and educational functions.

They have worked out the necessary executive documents (provisions, regulations and instructions).

IHEI library is equipped by proper technical means.

Catalogues (traditional and electronic)

Library users have at their disposal both traditional, i.e. card catalogues and card files (alphabetical and classed card catalogues, alphabetical and subject index, classed card files of articles from periodicals) and an electronic catalogue.
In 2003 they introduced an electronic catalogue in the library that numbers 8956 bibliographic entries as of 01.09.2009.

Library holdings size, their increase in recent years

Library holdings display a tendency to increase.

Training and research activities at the institute are provided with the necessary periodicals.

In 2004 the library acquired 15042 copies of academic books and learner's guides; in 2005 the number was 7493 copies; in 2006 the copies totaled 5538; in 2007 they acquired 5008 copies; in 2008 - 1029 copies. All in all, library holdings increase amounted to 34110 copies during the period of 5 years.

The library provides students with unrestricted access to online database of teaching aids and learner's guides and enables to satisfy completely the requirements of students in academic books. Students of every department enjoy unrestricted access to this source of information. They may receive the information required by means of any medium convenient for storing and interpreting information. The database contains materials worked out by the teaching staff of the institute, as well as additional sources necessary for the in-depth research of the subjects students specialize in: reference books, encyclopedias, and academic articles of leading scientists, syllabus and learner's guides in different subjects. The total number of teaching aids available to students is constantly growing.

IHEI students and its teaching staff may acquire necessary literature in all public libraries of Minsk. Moreover, students of the institute have access to library holdings of the National Scientific and Research Library (Masherov Avenue, 4, Minsk, agreement №1-1808-2009.)
